While snow and ice will continue to die down across the southern Plains on Monday, severe storms will shift to the lower Mississippi Valley and Tennessee Valley into Monday night.
“Severe thunderstorms containing damaging winds and perhaps an isolated tornado will roll through Jackson, Mississippi and New Orleans,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Mike Doll said.
The same storm system was responsible for the deadly tornadoes in Texas earlier in the weekend.
Snow and icy conditions will unfold across the Upper Midwest on Monday, delaying travel on the ground and in the air.
